Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup finely chopped broccoli
- ½ cup cheese 1/4th cup Tandoori Dip
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
- Salt to taste Milk as needed
- 3 tbsp butter
step-by-step method
Step 1: Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, melted butter, minced garlic, and salt. Gradually add the milk to the mixture, and knead the ingredients together. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes to relax the gluten.
Step 2: Prepare the Filling:
Steam the finely chopped broccoli florets until they become tender but still retain their bright green color. In a separate bowl, combine the steamed broccoli, shredded cheese, and Troovy Tandoori Sauce. Mix everything well to create a delicious and flavorful filling.
Step 3: Assemble the Pinwheel Rolls:
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit). On a lightly floured surface, roll out the rested dough into a rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the broccoli, cheese, and Tandoori sauce filling evenly over the rolled-out dough Carefully and tightly roll the dough lengthwise into a log shape. Seal the edges by pinching the dough together.
Step 4: Slice and Arrange the Pinwheel Rolls:
Brush the top of the log with ghee or melted butter to add flavor and promote browning during baking. Using a sharp knife, slice the log into pinwheel-shaped rolls, each about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Place the pinwheel rolls on a baking sheet.
Step 5: Bake the Pinwheel Rolls:
Put the baking sheet with the pinwheel rolls into the preheated oven. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 15-20 minutes or until the rolls turn golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Serve and Enjoy the deliciousness of these flavorful and cheesy pinwheel rolls!
