Imli lentil soup
Ingredients
1 tbsp oil
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup lentils, rinsed
1 carrot, diced
1 celery stalk, diced
4 cups broth
1/4 cup Troovy’s Imli sauce
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
Directions
Heat oil in a pot. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
Add carrot and celery, cook for 5 minutes.
Add lentils, broth, cumin, turmeric, paprika, salt. Boil, then simmer for 20 minutes.
Stir in Imli sauce, simmer for 5 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper, garnish with cilantro.
