Italian Grilled Mushroom
Ingredients
8-10 large mushrooms
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup Troovy’s Pizza pasta sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions
Clean mushrooms and remove stems. If using large portobellos, you may want to scrape out the gills for a better texture.
In a bowl, mix Troovy’s Pizza pasta sauce, minced garlic, dried oregano, and dried basil.
Brush mushrooms with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Place mushrooms on the grill, gill side up, and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until tender and grill marks appear.
Brush the sauce mixture over the mushrooms during the last 2 minutes of grilling.
Remove mushrooms from the grill and garnish with fresh parsley.
