Laccha Parantha
Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon oil or ghee
- Water for kneading
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup boiled chana dal
- 6-8 minced garlic cloves
- Salt to taste
- Kalonji seeds
- Troovy Pizza Pasta Sauce
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, oil or ghee, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead into a smooth and pliable dough. Allow it to rest for a while.
- In a pan, heat a bit of oil and sauté kalonji seeds and minced garlic until they become aromatic. Add the boiled chana dal to the pan and stir well.
- Season the mixture with salt and any desired spices for added flavor.
- Take a portion of the rested dough and roll it out into a thin disc.
- Spread a generous layer of Troovy Pizza Pasta Sauce over the rolled dough.Place the prepared chana dal and garlic filling evenly over the sauced dough.
- Pleat and roll the dough into a parantha, sealing the edges to keep the filling intact. Heat a tawa or griddle, and cook the stuffed parantha with a little oil or ghee until it turns golden brown with crisp spots on both sides.
