Tandoori Chickpea Toast
- Whole grain bread slices
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas
- 1/4 cup Troovy Tandoori Dip
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fresh coriander leaves
- 1 cup chopped onions and tomatoes
- A pinch of cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup diced mozzarella cheese
- Herbs and optional toppings for garnish
- 1. Prepare Chickpea Mixture:
- In a bowl, mash the cooked chickpeas.
- Add chopped onions, tomatoes, lemon juice, Troovy Tandoori Dip, fresh coriander leaves, salt, and a pinch of cumin powder.
- Mix all the ingredients well to create a flavorful chickpea spread.
- 2. Assemble Toasts:
- Take the whole grain bread slices and spread the prepared chickpea mixture evenly on each slice.
- 3.Add Cheese:
- Sprinkle diced mozzarella cheese on top of the chickpea mixture.
- 4. Toast:
- Place the prepared bread slices on a baking sheet or in an oven-safe dish.
- Toast in the oven until the cheese is melted and the bread turns golden brown. This usually takes a few minutes under the broiler or in a preheated oven at around 350°F (180°C).
