Tandoori Chickpea Toast



  • Whole grain bread slices
  • 1 cup cooked chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup Troovy Tandoori Dip
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 cup chopped onions and tomatoes
  • A pinch of cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup diced mozzarella cheese
  • Herbs and optional toppings for garnish


  • 1. Prepare Chickpea Mixture:
    • In a bowl, mash the cooked chickpeas.
    • Add chopped onions, tomatoes, lemon juice, Troovy Tandoori Dip, fresh coriander leaves, salt, and a pinch of cumin powder.
    • Mix all the ingredients well to create a flavorful chickpea spread.
  • 2. Assemble Toasts:
    • Take the whole grain bread slices and spread the prepared chickpea mixture evenly on each slice.
  • 3.Add Cheese:
    • Sprinkle diced mozzarella cheese on top of the chickpea mixture.
  • 4. Toast:
    • Place the prepared bread slices on a baking sheet or in an oven-safe dish.
    • Toast in the oven until the cheese is melted and the bread turns golden brown. This usually takes a few minutes under the broiler or in a preheated oven at around 350°F (180°C).
  • 5. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove the toasted chickpea and cheese slices from the oven.
    • Garnish with fresh herbs and any optional toppings you prefer.
    • Serve hot and enjoy your delicious and nutritious chickpea and cheese toasts!
